Local Content development is an initiative on the part of the Nigerian Government to help develop local capacity building in the Nigerian Oil & Gas Industry and to enable Nigerians participate actively. It can be seen as the utilization of the Nigerian human and material resources in the exploitation and exploration of the Nigerian hydrocarbon resources. UNDIA as a 100% Nigerian owned company is committed to achieving the Nigerian Content vision of the Federal Government of Nigeria to transform the oil and gas industry into the economic engine for job creation and national growth by developing in-country capacity and indigenous capabilities.


In UNDIA, our policy is to:

  • Institute the highest degree of Nigerian indigenous capability workable without compromising clients' objectives.
  • Employing competent and qualified local sub-contractors to provide technical and non-technical services and support.
  • Employing and training Nigerian engineers, technical and management staff.
  • Carrying out technical consultancy with the objectives of maiming opportunities for local businesses.
  • To exploit the potential for project revenues to remain in Nigeria.
  • Train engineers, mangers and technicians during project execution process such that similar projects in the future might attain increasingly higher levels of Nigerian participation.
  • Forming strategic alliances on project basis with companies to execute projects in Nigeria.

As an indigenous full-service company specializing in engineering, project management, consulting and inspection services we endeavor to consistently meet with clients' expectations through continual improvement with strong equality focus.

Objectives needed to ensure that the requirements of this policy are met and that continual improvements is maintained in line with the spirit of the policy, will be set, determined and monitored at Management Review.


The quality policy principles and objectives will be communicated and available to staff at all times. Training will be an integral part of the strategy to achieve the objectives. Within this policy, we are committed to operating our company under the disciplines and control of a Quality Management System conforming to the International Standard ISO9001:2000 planned and developed jointly with our other management functions. We are committed to operating continuously to this standard and we will maintain the necessary Quality Approvals consistent with our client requirements


Our company will constantly review and improve on our services to ensure tasks are completed in the most cost effective and timely manner for the benefit of all our customers. We shall ensure that all our personnel understand and fully implement our Company's policies and objectives and are able to perform their duties effectively through an ongoing training and development program.


Health, Safety & Environment Policy

Concern for Health, Safety and the Environment (HSE) is a core value in UNDIA. This means that we take personal responsibility for HSE because we care about people, the environment and our company.


Our HSE Policy is based on the true believe that all incidents can be prevented. The whole organization is committed to challenging goals for controlling risk and safeguarding against any harmful effects from its business activities. While management committed remains indispensable, we believe that an HSE culture with strong employee engagement is necessary to make our zero incidence targets not only attainable but also sustainable. Team involvement in goal-setting an in achieving improvements is one components of a world-class HSE culture. We encourage increasing team engagement in our HSE expectations

Ensuring that no activity takes procedure over Health, Safety and Environment.

Creating and sustaining a safe and healthy environment for all personnel.

Educating every employee, subcontractor and client representative on the personal responsibility for HSE.

Management holds the responsibility to communicate the requirements of this policy to all our employees, contractors and visitors and to involve them in its implementation.

HSE is an important part of our total quality management (TQM) system.

A risk assessment is conducted regularly in all work areas.

HSE plant tours are conducted regularly by mangers, HSE coordinators and health personnel. 

HSE coordinators on each shift or area/department.

Work environmental committee set guidelines for HSE work.

Appropriate training and information to employees of potential risks.

Reduction of waste to reduce our impact on the environment.

Programmes to minimize sick leave.

Programmes to improve social work environment.

Provide resources to manage our health, safety and environmental performance.

All health, safety and environmental programs are audited on a regular basis to confirm and improve our performance against the requirements of this policy.


UNDIA goal in safety is to prevent all injuries. Protection of human life is our highest priority an action undertaken to protect the environment or company assets must reflect this attitude. We rely on each employee to actively support and implement both the spirit and letter of this policy. All employees are responsible for health, safety and environmental protection compliance. It is very important for each of us to understand this policy and to conduct our daily business in a manner that assures compliance.
